The Grand Zion Trip to Bryce and Back

First stop, Salt Lake City. This capital building was amazing!

Looking west towards the great Salt Lake. Sadly there was still some smoke in the air limiting the view.

 Exquisite doors at Temple Square.

Heading south to Bryce.

And deep into the United States of America, we find some family. Thanks for joining us Danielle and Bryant!

The Navajo Loop Trail at Bryce.

No, this is not a cave. Just tall steep walls of the "hoodoos".

So in love, the scenery doesn't even matter to them.

The scenery by the Mossy Cave trail.

Enjoying the setting sun over Bryce Canyon.

At the far south point of the park. Stunning views.

Are you ready for this?

The view from Weeping Rock into the canyon. It's called Zion for a reason, this place is an oasis.

Hiking the famed Angels Landing trail.

She's loving it!

The love of my life.

Biking in Zion, what a blast!

Biking on these beautiful roads with only a few shuttle busses to deal with was amazing.

An hour or two in on our hike up The Narrows.

Check out those water boots.

This place is big.

Some of the gorgeous natural hanging gardens along the Virgin River in The Narrows.

Relaxing at base camp at the Watchman Campground. And no, hammocks are not allowed.

The view from the Canyon Overlook Trail.

Goodbye Zion, we will indeed miss you.

Arizona! Susan enjoying the desert sun with Lake Powell in the background. Worth spending some time here.

Horseshoe Bend by Page, Arizona.

The view from the helicopter.

Susan hiking the South Kaibab Trail. Out of this world.

Our destination. We made it there and back and didn't die.

The view at Skeleton Point.

Loving life.

Relaxing at our site at Mather Campground.

Looking west towards the strip from our top floor room at the Platinum Hotel.

Light show at Vegas.

Ready to head north after a wonderful stay at the Driftwood Inn at Idaho Falls.

Either an old schoolhouse or mansion just over the border from Idaho into Montana.

About to leave for home after a much needed visit with Aaron & Marian and family.
